Title: The Green at St Edmunds
Post by Frankie on Mar 19th, 2003 at 10:05pm
First of all, this is the first time I have been on this site for about 2 years.  What an improvement, and how interesting.  Now for a poser which I hope someone can answer.  Regarding the hump on the St Edmunds Green.  I know it used to be an air-raid shelter because we used to play down it as kids.  But does it still exist under the hump, even though there are no entrances?     And if so, could it be opened up in an emergency?

That's an interesting question - I don't know the answer. You could try the Council Parks Department or maybe The Bourne Society might know something.
