2012 - Our 75th Anniversary

APPLICATION SUBMITTED - Land off Lower Barn Road (adj The Parade Nos 108/110): - 11/03485/P - Renewal of Unexpired Permission - Erection of 1 two storey building with accommodation in the roof space comprising a total of 10 two bedroom flats; formation of access road and provision of associated parking (renewal of planning permission 07/03613/P). UPDATE 19/1/12 - The RRA Committee have considered the latest planning application 11/03485/P - submitted by the Purley Downs Golf Club to renew the unexpired planning permission. Because of the Planning Inspector’s previous approval, the options are very limited. However, the RRA will be objecting on the grounds of the mobile phone mast and it’s eventual repositioning.  We believe that if this current application is to be approved by the Council, then O2 and Vodafone should firstly submit an application for residents to comment on, regarding the repositioning of the mast. It is completely unreasonable (should this application be granted) that local residents are not made aware, if and where this mast is to be relocated to. An objection has also been raised about insufficient on site parking as Government guidance has recently changed in this respect and also highway safety. We have also commented that the highway has flooded again outside the site, in particular on 3 Jan 2012. Local residents are also invited to object, if they so wish. We also understand Councillor Lynne Hale has made a referral - which means it has to be reported to the Planning Committee and not be approved/refused at Officer level.

APPLICATION REFUSED GONE TO APPEAL 2.4.08 APPEAL ALLOWED 19/2/09  The Appeal has been allowed by the Planning Inspector (subject to the 3G Telecoms mast being moved, within 3 years.) The Planning Inspector’s Decision Link
